How long has iKonyk Solutions been in business?
We’ve been supporting Calgary small businesses since 1986 — over 40 years. Paul Konyk founded the company and remains personally involved in every client relationship. When something goes wrong, you’re talking to someone who knows your systems.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Calgary and surrounding communities including Airdrie, Okotoks, Strathmore, and Chestermere. Remote support is available province-wide across Alberta.
Do you work with small businesses or only larger companies?
Small businesses are our focus. Most of our clients have between 2 and 50 employees. We’re set up specifically to give small businesses the same level of IT support that larger companies take for granted — without the enterprise price tag.
IT Support & Response
How quickly can you respond to an IT emergency?
For existing managed IT clients, we typically respond within 15–30 minutes during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8am–6pm). Remote issues are often resolved in the same session. Extended coverage for critical business periods can be arranged in advance.
Do you offer remote support or do you have to come on-site?
Most issues are resolved remotely — we can securely access your systems within minutes and fix the majority of problems without a site visit. For hardware issues, network installations, or anything that requires hands-on work, we come to you.
Can you help if we already have some internal IT staff?
Absolutely. Many of our clients have one or two internal people who handle day-to-day tasks. We supplement their expertise with monitoring, security, escalation support, and project work they don’t have time for.
Managed IT Services
What is managed IT and how is it different from regular IT support?
Regular IT support is reactive — you call when something breaks and pay per incident. Managed IT is proactive — we monitor your systems 24/7, apply updates, catch problems before they cause downtime, and handle day-to-day support for a flat monthly fee. Most clients find it costs less overall and causes far less disruption.
What does a managed IT agreement include?
Our managed IT services include 24/7 system monitoring, patch management and software updates, security monitoring, regular health checks and reporting, and priority help desk response. You get predictable monthly costs instead of emergency bills.
Cloud & Microsoft 365
Can you help us move to Microsoft 365 or set up cloud services?
Yes. We handle Microsoft 365 migrations, setup, licensing, and ongoing support — including email, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. We also set up secure remote access and cloud file sharing for teams working from multiple locations.
Custom Software
Do you build custom software?
Yes — this is something most Calgary IT companies don’t offer. We design and build custom web applications, internal tools, databases, and workflow automation tailored to how your business actually operates — not adapted from an off-the-shelf product.
